Here’s how it works…

A friendly and experienced Pool Panthers technician will visit your pool once every four weeks to:

Complete a chemical analysis on the pool water.

General check of the pool equipment.

Leave behind the correct, pre-measured chemicals you need to maintain the water in your pool for the next four weeks, along with easy-to-follow instructions.

We return 4 weeks later and repeat the cycle, all managed through a set price monthly payment, couldn’t be easier.

Pool Panthers was born out of listening to thousands of customers. We found most people didn’t mind vacuuming and backwashing their pool, they just didn’t have the time or patience to drive to a pool store to then get completely confused by a concoction of chemicals and processes. So the simple answer is no, our main service is not a traditional valet service — it’s designed primarily for people who are happy vacuuming their pool but want to take the hassle out of maintaining its water health and clarity.

We are happy to provide our customers with a full valet service however, so please just ask us for a full valet quote if that’s what suits you best.

Where (or how) should you store pool chemicals?

How should you safely dispose of pool chemicals?

When should I put the chemicals into the pool?

When it comes to the balancing chemicals (left side of our instruction sheet), they should be added as soon as possible following our technician’s visit. Once you’ve read the handling and safety guidelines, you should start with the first chemical listed and then move through the list as per the instructions.

When it comes to the maintenance chemicals (listed on the left side of the instruction sheet), we recommend you set one day aside each week and make that your ‘Pool Day’ – the day where you carry out the maintenance cleaning and chemical additions. The Panther Shock, Panther Prevents and Panther Tabs can all be added to the pool at the same time.

Do I need to be home when you visit?

Do I need this service in winter?

Many people think it’s OK to neglect a pool through the winter months. However, if you don’t continue to balance your pool, the water may become extremely acidic or alkaline. This can have lasting consequences on your pool’s surface (such as bleaching or black spot algae) and on your pool machinery (such as perished rubber and plastic fittings). Although the water in your pool may appear clear through winter, it can harbour large amounts of algae likely to cause equally costly problems once warmer weather arrives.

This can all be avoided by maintaining your water health throughout winter. Our prices reflect the fact that less chlorine will need to be used during winter.
